I love every Raw Spirit scent but especially love the bijou vert on my husband! The summer rain works well on both of us and also smells really special mixed with the bijou vert! I love wearing the summer rain to work because I can smell it on myself most of the day but it’s not so overpowering that anyone else can smell it from a normal distance away. Perfect!

Of course with everything, you can’t like it all! I ordered the discovery set and this was the only one not for my taste. A bit too musk for me and less feminine- although others may like this. It definitely lasts long though and I still love the donation practice from this brand for the Native American projects.

Both scents feature Haitian Vetiver, sourced sustainably through a long-standing collaboration between that our fragrance house Firmenich has in established in Debouchette, South West Haiti.  Part proceeds will be used to support sustainable Haitian agricultural projects in collaboration with Firmenich.

Inspired by the vast, majestic sand dunes of Namibia, Nama Flame is a bold, complex candle that showcases the warmth and richness of Bushman’s Candle, a unique natural ingredient native to the Namibian Desert and sustainably harvested by the Himba Tribe.

The comforting warmth of Bushman’s Candle is wrapped in a bold and exotic blend of sumptuous white florals and golden spices.  This scent is not for the faint hearted it makes a statement and is vast and complex like the lands that inspired it. 

Notes:

  • Top: Cardamom, Magnolia Flower Oil, Golden Spice Blend
  • Middle: Bushman’s Candle, Cypriol EO, Everlasting Flower (Immortelle) 
  • Base: Cistus, Benzoin, Tonka Resinoid, Mineral Notes, Patchouli

Sustainable Ingredient: Bushman’s Candle is a fragrant wax that is extracted from the fallen bark of the Sarcocolon Mossamedense tree.  This resinous wax is traditionally used by the Himba as a candle and as a fragrant fire starter.  It’s warm amber and caramel notes with a hint of incense make it an interesting and complex fragrance ingredient that are at the heart of our Nama Flame fragrance.

Candle Care:

  • The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge of the vessel before extinguishing – this helps prevent "tunneling."
  • Trim the wick each time you light this candle and remove the burnt wick from the previous burn.  We recommend keeping the wick 1/4" length. Do not allow wick trimmings or dust to accumulate in the wax pool.
  • Be sure to place candle on a stable, heat resistant surface before lighting, and do not leave it unattended.
