I struggle with very dry hands, so using so much hand sanitizer lately hasn't been great. And please don't be afraid of the tiny size, a little goes a long way, especially since this is only something I use when waking my hands isn't an option. It isn't an everyday hand lotion. I also have the Define Me hand sanitizer because that got great reviews and was supposed to be moisturizing a well. It doesn't dry my hands out much, but the smell is a bit strong. This one on the other hand (no pun intended lol) didn't dry my hands out at all and the smell is great, very light. If you are deciding between the two, or any other alcohol based sanitizer, the following information might be helpful. This isn't alcohol based. It uses a form of salt, so just keep that in mind. Although the FDA says washing hands is best and if you can't, use alcohol based hand sanitizer, in reality BAK has been used in hand sanitizers and other disinfectants for a long time. For anyone on the fence because this isn't alcohol based, just do your homework and make an informed decision you feel comfortable with. For me personally, I have a background in research and Healthcare and my personal opinion is that the research community and FDA need to get it together and broaden their horizons not only with this, but with so much else. Another thing to keep in mind is that BAK has caused irritation in some individuals as well as damaging the skin barrier.... but so has alcohol, so pick your poison. Personally, my skin reacts better to this. I have sensitive, dry skin and haven't had issues. Clearly, I have done my homework and I feel perfectly comfortable using this. I just wanted to put the information out there for anyone else considering their options. I really hope this helps.
