About our Candles: Our candles are clean burning, hand poured with an all-natural soy and coconut wax blend, without dyes. We chose coconut soy wax for our candles because it is considered one of the healthier candle waxes, and allows for a smokeless and soot-free candle burn. All waxes are made in the U.S. with 100% cotton wicks.

Our Partnership with Prosperity Candle: 
Each of our handmade candles were created by a female artisan building a brighter future for herself and her family. These candles will help support refugees and other artisans through candle-making and beautifully crafted vessels that can be refilled or repurposed for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Candle Care:

  • The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge of the vessel before extinguishing – this helps prevent "tunneling."
  • Trim the wick each time you light this candle and remove the burnt wick from the previous burn.  We recommend keeping the wick 1/4" length. Do not allow wick trimmings or dust to accumulate in the wax pool.
  • Be sure to place candle on a stable, heat resistant surface before lighting, and do not leave it unattended.

BORN FROM TRAVEL

Raw Spirit is the continuation of incredible journeys that took us all over the world, from the Australian outback, to the mountains of Haiti, to the deserts of Namibia and beyond.  It is a brand born out of experiencing the unique spirits of some of the world’s oldest communities and remote, pristine landscapes.

SUSTAINABLY SOURCED

We work with Indigenous and marginalized communities, either directly or through partnerships, to sustainably source rare and unique natural ingredients for our fragrances.  From these ingredients we create high quality, luxury fragrances that not only smell incredible—they also create economic opportunities for the communities from which we source.

CLEAN FRAGRANCES

Our cruelty-free fragrances are crafted with clean ingredients, free of parabens, sulfates, gluten, petrochemicals, and formaldehydes.  We, along with our technical and production partners, share a commitment to responsible sourcing of natural ingredients.

FEMALE FOUNDED

Raw Spirit is led by CEO and Co-Founder, Joyce Lanigan. Lanigan and her business partner, photographer Russell James, founded their socially conscious company in Australia with the objective to raise awareness of the richness of Indigenous Australian culture. The brand quickly expanded to collaborate with other Indigenous and marginalized groups in Indonesia, Haiti and the USA. Joyce and Russell’s curiosity, spirit, and passion for ethical luxury formed the building blocks of the Raw Spirit brand.

CRUELTY FREE

Our fragrances are 100% cruelty free and we never test on animals!  Our scents are also vegan with the exception of Midnight Pearl & Mystic Pearl, which use crushed pearl. Pearls are not classified as vegan.

Our fragrances are also 100% cruelty free!  We, along with our technical and production partners, share a commitment to responsible sourcing of natural ingredients.

We work with Indigenous and marginalized communities, either directly or through partnerships, to sustainably source rare and unique natural ingredients for our fragrances.  From these ingredients we create high quality, luxury fragrances that not only smell incredible—they also create economic opportunities for the communities from which we source.

BORN FROM TRAVEL

Raw Spirit is the continuation of incredible journeys that took us all over the world, from the Australian outback, to the mountains of Haiti, to the deserts of Namibia and beyond.  It is a brand born out of experiencing the unique spirits of some of the world’s oldest communities and remote, pristine landscapes.

SUSTAINABLY SOURCED

We work with Indigenous and marginalized communities, either directly or through partnerships, to sustainably source rare and unique natural ingredients for our fragrances.  From these ingredients we create high quality, luxury fragrances that not only smell incredible—they also create economic opportunities for the communities from which we source.

FEMALE FOUNDED

Raw Spirit is led by CEO and Co-Founder, Joyce Lanigan. Lanigan and her business partner, photographer Russell James, founded their socially conscious company in Australia with the objective to raise awareness of the richness of Indigenous Australian culture. The brand quickly expanded to collaborate with other Indigenous and marginalized groups in Indonesia, Haiti and the USA. Joyce and Russell’s curiosity, spirit, and passion for ethical luxury formed the building blocks of the Raw Spirit brand.

All of our scents feature sustainably sourced ingredients that give back to marginalized Indigenous communities around the world.

CRUELTY FREE

Our fragrances are 100% cruelty free and we never test on animals!  Our scents are also vegan with the exception of Midnight Pearl & Mystic Pearl, which use crushed pearl. Pearls are not classified as vegan.

MADE IN THE USA
